About Me

Hi and welcome to my blog!  I've avoided doing an "about me" page for a long time now, because I never know what to say in these things.  But then I started noticing the ones that other bloggers had written, and like your typical American struck with Keeping up with the Jones Syndrome, I thought Hey, I want one of those

So...about me...I'm a seventh grade Language Arts teacher living with my hubby and two delightful little offspring in a desert hole (ehem!)--oasis--in California.  I have a twin sister, Shannon, who blogs over at Bedlam's Silence.  She's the mountain twin and I'm the desert twin.  I think she's going to live longer, because I'm slowly roasting down here.  I enjoy reading, writing, oil-painting, blogging, nature (which where I live constitutes tumble weeds and the occasional lizard), cooking over-easy eggs, eating nachos, sunbathing, staying up too late, and taking naps.  I have been actively blogging since the summer of 2009.  Since then, my blog has slowly evolved to...not much.  You would think after a few years, I would have mastered the art of focus.  But nope.  I think I'm more long-winded and random today than I was two years ago.

A fellow blogger once stated, "I aim to write content of value for my readers."  Yeah...I don't do that.  Unless I'm wrong, and posts such as "Twitchy Butt Syndrome" and "So Now I'm a Hyena" count as valuable content.  Guess I'm a little on the self-absorbed side and would rather write whatever is on my mind.
